The International University Week (IUW) is a one week international seminar (with a variety of workshops, excursions, social events, etc.) which is organized by the Socrates-Network of European University Schools of Social Work and Social Sciences (SocNet98). 
It takes part every summer semester in at least three locations of the network (see the programs and reports of former IUWs). The IUW 2018 has been held in Jena from April 16 – 20, 2018 at the School of Social Work, Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences in Jena. The main topics of the IUW 2018 has been

Beside an interesting academic program the IUW Jena 2018 has included several social-cultural and group activities, field visits and excursions, a welcome reception and a welcome party on Monday evening and a farewell party on Thursday evening. Most important is the friend-to-friends exchange philosophy (e.g. international students are hostet by fellow students of Jena).
